In combination with Pro/Mechanism it is possible within Pro/Engineer to design and analyse just about every type of moving components. An example is a cam contour. A cam can be imported via a formula, but can also be constructed within restricted design criteria.
Also the calculation of complementary cams is possible with a high degree of accuracy.

The total movement cycle of machinery components can be simulated in Pro/Mechanism where it can be controlled to see if there is a "clash" with other components.
